FITGUN SHILAJIT (Mumijo): Benefits, Side Effects and Use

FITGUN Shilajit ,

also known as Mumijo, is an ancient Ayurvedic remedy. Shilajit is 100% natural and a nutrient-rich biomass found in the Himalayas and Altai at an altitude of over 3,000 meters. Shilajit is purified and is considered a panacea, especially in Ayurveda. It acts as a testosterone stimulant, antioxidant, rejuvenator, energizer and much more. For this reason, Shilajit is a very special and interesting subject that is worth exploring and explaining.

In detail, we want to answer questions such as:

What is Shilajit?

Where does it come from?

What is it made of?

How does it work?

Are there any side effects? What does research say? What is the ideal dosage and application?

The picture shows the Premium Shilajit from FITGUN.

Shilajit - An ancient remedy
Shilajit is a very rare and limited biomass that is rich in nutrients. Its surface is smooth and shiny. It has a smoky smell. Ultimately, shilajit is made of humus and organic plant material that has been compacted by layers of rock over time. Pressure and intense summer heat transform the organic compounds. In summer, shilajit melts and escapes through cracks in the rock. Unfortunately, its exact origin is still unknown.

Experienced collectors collect this natural resinous substance at altitudes of up to 3,000 meters. After collection, the Shilajit is cleaned and filtered several times.

Shilajit was discovered in ancient Russia, where it is known as Maumasil. The meaning of this name is particularly interesting, as it means "that which protects against disease." Other well-known names are: Mumijo, Kao-tun, Brogschaun and Arakil Dshibal.
In ancient Russia, Shilajit has been used as a medicine and tonic for thousands of years and can be found in any pharmacy. However, Shilajit is popular not only in Russia, but also in Ayurveda. Many alternative healers who specialize in Ayurvedic medicine are particularly enthusiastic about Shilajit.
This is probably due to its complex and versatile active ingredients. The main active ingredient is fulvic acid. But we will go into this in more detail in the next section.
It is also worth mentioning that Aristotle had already researched Shilajit.

Composition:
Contains Shilajit (Mumijo).

  • inorganic components:
  • minerals
  • Also from organic components:
  • folic acid
  • humic acids
  • amino acids
  • vitamins
  • typical plant substances such as
  • alkaloids
  • vegetable fats
  • essential oils
  • waxes
  • polyphenols

The main active ingredient, fulvic acid, acts as a transporter in the body, supporting the transport of nutrients to the tissue and the excretion of stored toxins.

Effects/Benefits:

Testosterone and Fertility in Men
Shilajit has been traditionally used to increase male potency. Clinical studies have shown that healthy men who take shilajit for three months experience an increase in total and free testosterone as well as dehydroepiandrosterone. Shilajit can also increase sperm production.

Detoxification + Gastrointestinal Health
Shilajit acts as an antioxidant and can protect the stomach from oxidative damage and inflammation.

Faster healing and regeneration
In the Soviet Union, sports medicine specialists observed an increase in muscle mass, strength and endurance in athletes. A faster recovery from injuries was also reported when athletes received treatment with shilajit.

Can reduce inflammation
Humic acid and fulvic acid, the two main active ingredients in shilajit, can reduce neutrophils and inflammation in the body. High neutrophil counts can damage tissues and increase inflammation.

Can reduce stress and anxiety
Animal studies have shown that dopanine levels in the limbic and emotional areas of the brain can increase when taking shilajit.
This can reduce anxiety and its harmful effects thanks to its antioxidant and nutrient content.
In addition, studies on mice have shown a significant increase in GABA levels. GABA levels are an essential component of the "calming" neurotransmitters in the brain.

Can help fight addiction
Some studies have shown that shilajit can help fight addiction. In mice, shilajit reduced withdrawal symptoms and emotional dependence.
There is hope that Shilajit can also be used to treat opiate addiction.
In particular, the combination of Shilajit with Ashwagandha eliminated the anxiety associated with alcohol withdrawal in mice.

Can protect against radiation
Involuntary exposure to environmental radiation increases oxidative stress in the body, which can damage numerous organs. Shilajit, which is rich in nutrients and antioxidants, can help reduce and even prevent this damage. It has been shown to significantly improve the health of ovarian cells after radiation. Shilajit is able to switch off cell death, thus improving the survival of healthy cells.

A remedy for altitude sickness
Traditionally, shilajit has been used as an effective remedy for altitude sickness, which can occur at altitudes of over 4,000 meters. This unique substance can improve the body's ability to cope with the stress of altitude. Shilajit promotes the transport and absorption of nutrients deep in the tissues and increases energy levels. At the same time, it optimizes nutrient absorption in the intestines and stimulates the immune system.

Supporting Research
Studies show that shilajit can boost the immune system. People who take shilajit regularly are less prone to urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, and ear infections. It can also help relieve chronic stress, which can weaken the immune system.

Additional Benefits
Shilajit is still being studied for a number of other benefits, but the scientific basis is not yet in place. It is believed to increase vibrations and, with prolonged use, improve intuition and provide access to the so-called "third eye." However, these sensations are subjective and not yet scientifically proven.

limitations of the studies

It should be noted that further research on humans is needed to 1000% confirm the described benefits.

Potential side effects and quality characteristics

Current studies do not show any side effects of Shilajit, but the research is not yet comprehensive enough. Nevertheless, there is a risk of heavy metals or contamination, especially from manufacturers whose Shilajit is not laboratory tested, etc. It is therefore crucial to pay attention to the quality of the manufacturer and in particular to heavy metal analyses in order to obtain safe Shilajit.

Recommended dosage and use

According to Ayurvedic tradition, it is recommended to take 200 to 300 mg of Shilajit two to three times a day. It should be dissolved in lukewarm water. After 20 to 30 days of intake, there is a ten-day break before continuing.

Additional information: Shilajit is a dietary supplement and is not a substitute for a balanced diet. The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded.
