The hype about massage pistols has also arrived in Germany for a long time. Whether professional athletes, amateurs or even normal employees, many can no longer do without the beneficial effects of a Massage Gun. But does the use of a massage gun, for example the Fitgun, make sense and can it be medically proven?
We, the Fitgun team, have been working with a large number of physiotherapists for a long time and they all say the same thing: Treatment with a massage gun< is fundamental t3> suitable for everyone. You don't have to be an athlete to get a massage. But there are a few points that you have to consider. For example, you should generally refrain from massaging regions that are close to the bone, this way you avoid accidentally putting too much pressure on bones. In addition, if the pain is too severe, you should always consult a doctor, only he can treat and advise you professionally.
It is also important that you first massage yourself at a low level and only gradually dose the strength. This ensures that you don't subject your muscles to too much massage right at the start and you might even feel pain afterwards.
Massage gun in the morning
It is particularly recommended to use the massage gun first thing in the morning. This is how you activate your muscles and adjust them to the day. Athletes swear by this method to best prepare for training or other events.
A treatment with the massage gun is particularly suitable for these body regions:
- thigh
- lower leg
- back
- Chest (caution: not for people with pacemakers)
- Upper arms
- Forearms
- hip
- Buttocks
- Shoulders (But only around the shoulder blades)
- Feet (also like the soles of the feet)
The massage gun should not be used on these body regions:
- Too close to head (May cause headache)
- On the stomach (at most very lightly with the massage ball)
- In the intimate area
- On the joints (especially not near the bones)
As you can already see, the massage gun is a really very useful addition to the conventional massage. The nice thing is that you can have yourself or your partner massage you without having to pay a lot of money for a physiotherapist.
